It looks like now you can create a Lutron account and use that to generate some keys and certificates that allow you to use their API to do the same thing on the regular hub that the telnet interface gives you on the Pro hub.

WEBSep 23, 2022 · I had the standard retail Caseta Hub and purchased a Pro hub and switched my devices over when I got a Hubitat. Home Assistant should also require the Pro for similar reasons. I have this setup now where Pico remotes trigger automations or lightning groups (Lutron Caseta and others) depending on where it is. It works well.

WEBNov 5, 2022 · The radios in Casetta devices are not capable of being thread compatible. It’s possible that Lutron will update their hub to support Matter (expose Casetta devices to be controlled via Matter) but I don’t think they’ve announced any plans so far. I think Philips Hue just got Matter certification for their hub. Reply reply.
