I have been to the summit on a bike and I had no problem , the road up is much better than it use to be : no guard rails : so be vigilant. No one will push you or rush you to the top. So no worries there , bring a jacket as it’s cold at the summit. Also check the weather for the day and try to go on a clear day ! You can see 7 states from the top if conditions are right . I’ve been going since the 60’s . You can take the cog Railway - Hike - or take the auto Road . Enjoy the highest peak this side of the Mississippi!!! Hope you go / it’s a beautiful ride ! Enjoy

The cog Railway travels up the West side of the mountain about an hour from the Auto a road , first the Cog Railway cost approx 60.00 odd Dollars per person round trip . It’s approx 1 hour ride to the top you stay up there for approx 45 min then another Hour down . They run almost every hour on the half hour , using multible trains . The auto road is car and Driver 35.00 adult passengers 10.00 so this drive up is not for the faint of heart as it is very steep and has no guard rails . But you can stay up top as long as you like . Hope this helps , I’ve done both multible times . I enjoy the cog but it does get expensive after the fare and something to eat at the summit plus a gift or two . Enjoy . And eighter way you can’t go wrong . Check the weather at the summit before going as it can be in the fog or clouds often . Enjoy !!!
