This is my favorite museum. It's like visiting a home, not a museum. The staff were excellent and the fee is cheaper than all the others. Please re-open and preserve this valuable history structure.Full review by LoveTravel606750

San Francisco plantation is closed to the public. It has been purchased by an oil company. Not sure why they don’t keep this beautiful, historic place open.Full review by Gretchen C

About an hour just in the house. You can walk around the grounds and see the school house that was brought there that is authentic to the time and era and an existing house where workers would have stayed. You can do this on your own. I just feel in love with the house and its beautiful wood work and ceilings.
After seeing the pictures of the interior of this plantation I was planning on adding the tour to our itinerary but several reviews state that pictures are not allowed. I don't, as a rule, spend my money if I can't take photos, so which is it? Photos or no photos? All other plantations not only allow but encourage photos.

No interior pictures are allowed but there are lots of others in the area that do. The exterior is unique however and worth driving to.

We don't have a senior discount. Our 2014 ticket prices are: $15.00 per adult $10.00 per child (ages 7-17) $14.00 for AAA members or Military Children 6 and under are free
