Great location and beach (Therefore, 3 stars). The campground is showing it's age and lack of maintenance. Two showers were unavailable supposedly because of vandalism, but shouldn't they be fixed an… Full review by Cliff A

We were staying nearby and walked through the park to check it out. Typical beachside park with no trees or grass to speak of, just parking spots and the beach nearby. Full review by Dave993

Hi. Yes, it is open for camping year round! This is right from the web site: "The park is open year round for camping and day use. Reservations are accepted year round." Remember that it only has electricity as the hook-up. No sewer or water hook-ups but there is fresh water and a dump station on site. There are showers and restrooms as well that take tokens. We have not stayed there during the winter. We have stayed late March up until the end of August. We have been there during a pretty bad storm and they do shut off the beach front sites only when the conditions are very windy as the surf may come up to the berm and splash over into those water-front sites. We just had to move to a different site at that time which was on spring break. (my hubby is a school teacher) **Also, this is a VERY popular state park as it is the ONLY ONE right on the beach where you can walk onto the beach easily from the campground. So, you have to reserve 9 months in advance for the warm weather months as they book up super fast, especially for kite festival weekends. You will love it!!
