The villages of Hostákov and Střížov are administrative parts of Vladislav. Vladislav is located about 7 kilometres east of Třebíč and 44 km west of Brno. It lies on the border between the Jevišovice Uplands and Křižanov Highlands. The highest point is at 495 m above sea level. The market town is situated on the left bank of the Jihlava River.
