Amazon's Black Friday sale will begin a week before Thanksgiving on Nov. 21, the retail giant announced Wednesday.Why it matters: Amazon competitors Walmart, Target and Best Buy have already unveiled their holiday plans and started early sales.

Black Friday is starting more than a week early at Amazon. The retailer will begin offering holiday deals beginning Nov. 21 this year, with new specials hitting through Nov. 29 (the actual date of Black Friday in 2024).

It’s no surprise that Amazon would have “millions of deals” to take advantage for all customers, but it’s the date when these deals go live that is worth noting.
