In all, 64 Macy's stores in several states, including Florida, New York, California, and Pennsylvania, are set to close, according to a listing of online closures. Most stores are expected to close in the first three months of 2025. The list of closings can be found here.

Macy's will have five stores remaining in Southeast Michigan following the closures: those at Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor; Somerset Collection in Troy; Fairlane Town Center in Dearborn; Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi; and Southland Center in Taylor.

The closures are part of a strategy the retailer calls "Bold New Chapter," which it says will return the company to sustainable and profitable growth.
