NEW CASTLE, DE – The Delaware State Police have identified 85-year-old Wayne Proud of New Castle, Delaware, as the man who died in a fatal crash involving a tractor and a school bus in New Castle on Monday.

An 85-year-old man operating a farm tractor died after police said he steered into the path of a school bus along Delaware's U.S. Route 13 Monday morning.

The driver of a tractor-trailer fled Tuesday following a bus crash in Botetourt County. Just after 4 p.m., a county school bus was traveling on Catawba Road when it entered a curve where a tractor-trailer was on the wrong side of the road.
