It's looking more and more like the suddenly red-hot Carolina Panthers will not end up as the worst team in the league.

Sam Bennett, who ranks second among Panthers players in points on the year (15), was a surprise scratch after tightening up in morning skate.

The Panthers are ranked 14th in total goals against, allowing 3.1 goals per game (46 total) in NHL play. The Panthers have a 12.8% shooting percentage as a team, ranking fifth in the league. In 15 games for Florida this season, Reinhart has put up 23 total points (first on the club) -- 11 goals and 12 assists.

Giving Bobrovsky a breather, Spencer Knight will man the crease against the Devils. Owning a 3-1-0 record, the 23-year-old has gone 3-0-0 with a .918 save percentage over his last four appearances, including a 23-save performance in a 4-2 win over the Dallas Stars in his last start on Nov. 2.
