Pedestrian badly hurt after crash in Independence
A 35-year-old pedestrian stepped into traffic from the center median, and a 2023 Maserati going south on Sterling Avenue hit them. The pedestrian was seriously hurt and taken to a local hospital. Police say the driver of the Maserati stayed on the scene and is cooperating. The crash remains under investigation.
