If you've ever struggled to drink your hot, freshly brewed coffee before you rush out in the morning, Japanese company Yukai Engineering has a sweet solution: a tiny 'robot' cat that perches on the edge of your mug or bowl and blows across the surface of your drink to cool it.

It probably sounds something a little like "fufu." It's from this onomatopoeic sound that the Nékojita cat FuFu robot takes its name, and on the CES show floor in Las Vegas, I experienced Nékojita FuFu's cooling breath for myself.

"Neko-jita" translates to "cat tongue," which also refers to a condition for people with a low tolerance for hot food.
