A settlement reached Friday appears to herald the end of the Bay Boys surf gang's six-decade reign over Lunada Bay's premier waves.

Facing an ‘existential financial risk’ from the suit, the city agrees to install new walkways, benches, signage and other amenities at its well-known surf spot.

The city was accused of failing to prevent bullying and harassment to surfers not affiliated with a local group often described as a surf gang.
