Tage Thompson and JJ Peterka each recorded a hat trick and an assist to lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 7-2 win over the visiting Boston Bruins on Tuesday night.

Believe it or not, it’s Jan. 28, and this is the first appearance by the Boston Bruins in Buffalo to take on the Sabres. Paul Hamilton has his game preview:

This is because forward Cole Koepke will be back in the lineup after missing each of the Bruins' last five games. On defense, the Bruins could be even more shorthanded, however. Brandon Carlo has been labeled a game-time decision due to an illness.
