The Denver area and much of the state will face “critical fire weather conditions” Saturday, as dry, windy weather continues to fuel the risk of wildfires, according to the National Weather Service.
Chances of precipitation continue through the weekend. Colorado will have light to briefly moderate snowfall for the mountains.
The city will see some extra clouds on Thursday, but highs should still climb to the upper 70s, possibly breaking the record high temperature in the Denver weather forecast.
Today will likely be the warmest day of the week, with highs near 80 degrees across the northeastern plains. Even warmer across southeastern Colorado.
Colorado could see record high temperatures before the pattern changes. A weekend storm could be a classic "spring soaker" on Colorado's Front Range.
Overall the Denver weather forecast is relatively quiet, but windy conditions remain persistent and will stick around into next week. L
