(WLUK) -- A man who was in the U.S. illegally was convicted of trying to kill his wife with a knife in Fond du Lac. Fermin Teodoro Lopez-Mendoza plead no contest to attempted first degree intentional homicide, with a dangerous weapon and domestic abuse.
