A man was hospitalized in stable condition following a shooting in Hartford on Monday evening. Officers responded to the 1300 block of Albany Avenue around 7 p.m. on a ShotSpotter notification, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department.

Hartford police found a gunshot victim on Albany Avenue while responding to an alert from their gunshot detection system Monday evening, police said.

A father is dead and his 2-year-old son was taken to the hospital after a drive-by shooting in Hartford Monday evening. The shooting happened during rush hour in the area of Pleasant and Main streets near Dunkin’ Park and Capital Preparatory Magnet School.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was alert and conscious when officers arrived. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
