The third runway will swallow up parts of Harmondsworth in Hillingdon north of the airport. It will stretch from Sipson through Harmondsworth and over the M25 near Colnbrook in Slough, Berkshire. Part of the M25 will be diverted into a tunnel to cut underneath the runway.
