(WLUK) -- A man who was in the U.S. illegally was convicted of trying to kill his wife with a knife in Fond du Lac. Fermin Teodoro Lopez-Mendoza plead no contest to attempted first degree intentional homicide, with a dangerous weapon and domestic abuse.

FOND DU LAC – Fermin Teodoro Lopez-Mendoza, 50, has been convicted of the March domestic violence stabbing in Fond du Lac County.

Mendoza, the man charged in connection to a domestic violence stabbing that occurred in Fond du Lac, pleaded no contest to attempted first degree intentional homicide, with a dangerous weapon and domestic abuse on Nov.
