India made it back-to-back global cricket tournaments with a four-wicket victory over New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy final in Dubai. Rohit Sharma led the chase with 76 off 83 balls, and KL Rahul’s unbeaten 34 helped India cross the finish line on 254-6 in 49 overs to win the Champions Trophy on Sunday for the third time.

India and New Zealand will face off in the final match of Champions Trophy 2025. India won all its matches while New Zealand won 3 of its 4 matches.

New Zealand beat India 3-0 in a test series in its own backyard, a feat never registered before. India went on to lose in Australia. Both series defeats cost India a spot in the World Test Championship final. It has only gained little redemption in reaching the Champions Trophy final here.
