Sharon Regional Medical Center, shuttered earlier this month, could reopen in the coming weeks after a settlement between the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office and the owner of the property and the sale of the hospital operations to a California company.

According to Medical Properties Trust, or MPT, the company which owns the hospital building and land -- the deal should allow Sharon Regional to successfully resume operations in the coming days.
