Xbox boss Phil Spencer has confirmed that Xbox games will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 after it launches.

There's still no release date for Nintendo's Switch 2 console and the launch lineup is a mystery, but one thing has been revealed: gamers can expect Xbox games to become available for it at some point.

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer made it clear that Xbox plans to bring games to the Nintendo Switch 2 when it launches later this year.

Either way, Mariostro Strikers is still listed for sale if you're dying for another taste of Nintendo's frantic football spin-off. I know Nintendo Switch 2 might be getting some Xbox games, but I don't think this is how to get even. I doubt it'll be up for much longer anyway.

Nintendo is caught between its eight-year-old Switch console and the next-gen Switch 2 — a purgatory that usually hits sales.

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa said in an interview with Japanese newspaper The Sankei Shimbun that the company will continue to support the Nintendo Switch even after its successor is released.

Nintendo fans will be pleased to hear that the company is taking extra care to avoid stock shortages at launch. The original Switch was hard to come by when it released back in 2017, while the PS5 was absolutely plagued by stock shortages for almost an entire year after launch.

That success has led it to become one of the best-selling consoles of all time. The Nintendo Switch still trails behind the likes of Sony’s PlayStation 2, which has sold over 16
