Bowen Yang and comedian Dave Chappelle appeared to have reconciled at the end of the latest Saturday Night Live (SNL) episode, hugging each other.
After a brief embrace at the end of the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, it appears a truce has been called in the cold war between funny guys Dave Chappelle and Bowen Yang. If, in fact, they were ever in a war at all.
Netflix has had a strong year for awards season elsewhere this year. For the Emmys, it received 107 nominations across 35 titles, winning 24 awards. At the Golden Globes, it received 36 nominations and won 7 awards. Most recently, Netflix earned 15 BAFTA film nominations, with winners yet to be announced.
In the final few moments of the Jan. 18 episode, which featured Chappelle hosting the show for the fourth time, several SNL cast members and musical guest GloRilla joined the comedian on stage to bid the audience farewell. During the goodbyes, Chappelle and Yang briefly hugged.
Last year, fans speculated that there was bad blood between the two stars after noticing an “awkward” interaction during one episode. In January 2024, Chappelle made a surprise appearance on an SNL episode that was hosted by Madame Web star Dakota Johnson with musical guest Justin Timberlake.

Emilia Pérez raked in the most nominations Thursday morning, followed by The Brutalist and Wicked. The Academy Awards are scheduled for Sunday, March 2.
