Five minutes into the third period of a lifeless game on Tuesday night, Devils captain Nico Hischier turned around to play the puck going up the boards when Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk leveled him.

Anton Lundell scored the shootout winner and Spencer Knight made 26 saves as the Florida Panthers downed the New Jersey Devils 2-1.

New Jersey Devils forward Stefan Noesen will not play in Tuesday night's game against the Florida Panthers. After the team's morning skate, head coach Sheldon Keefe hinted that his lineup could change. "We've got a game-time decision or two that might impact the group," he said. "We will have to see how that plays out tonight."

The Devils have struggled since returning from the holiday break but the team is focused on learning and improving instead of placing blame on individuals. Staying united as a team is critical during this stretch. Although they aren't winning, this is an opportunity to come back stronger.
