SEATTLE -- Jacob Markstrom made 21 saves to help the New Jersey Devils end a four-game losing streak with a 3-2 win against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on Monday. Markstrom made two desperation saves in the third period to preserve the win, one with his glove on Eeli Tolvanen and one with his stick on Matty Beniers.

On Monday, the New Jersey Devils trolled the New York Rangers during their 5-0 thrashing of their rivals. The video posted included the draft of Jack Hughes, mocking the departure of Kaapo Kakko.
Markstrom's biggest save of the game came just moments after Palat's go-ahead goal, stopping Eeli Tolvanen on his doorstep. Markstrom was spectacular all evening, making 21 saves on 23 shots.

Hughes notched an assist and four shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Sharks. Hughes has hit a rough patch -- since his three-point game Dec. 23 versus the Rangers, he's been limited to two assists over five contests.
