Kellen Moore looks like the favorite for the Saints head coaching vacancy, but don’t count out Anthony Weaver. ESPN reports he made a strong impression:

For starters, Weaver is a former player. His time with the Ravens and Texans saw him play for Brian Billick and Gary Kubiak. He has coached in the NFL since 2012, working under Rex Ryan and the Jets to start as an assistant defensive line coach. He also played under Ryan when he was with the Ravens. Now, Ryan is of the John Harbaugh tree.

Anthony Weaver impressed in his first interview with the Saints and will reportedly interview for the job again Wednesday.

Another candidate has dropped out of the race for the New Orleans Saints’ head coach job. NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reported on Tuesday night that Mike McCarthy has decided to focus on the 2026 hiring cycle.

The New Orleans Saints are the only NFL team remaining with a head coaching vacancy. They missed out on another candidate. According to Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, Kliff Kingsbury will stay with the Washington Commanders.
