AccuWeather long-range forecasters are warning that a significant shift in the weather pattern could bring a blast of frigid Arctic air to parts of the United States in the second half of March, potentially lingering into early April.

Month-to-date temperature analysis shows that February 2025 has been the coldest in the U.S. has seen in 15 years. In 2010, the temperature anomaly was 4.1° below average. Currently, February's average temperature across the U.S. is 3.8° below average.
