Kia is recalling over 80,000 of its electric and hybrid vehicles over a floor wiring issue that increases the risk of unintentional and improper airbag deployment.

For a small vehicle (curb weight of 1,513 pounds) the Niro provides good passenger space and comfort. There’s 39.8 inches of rear passenger legroom and 55.4 inches of rear shoulder room. There’s 41.5 inches of headroom for the rear passengers.

Kia is recalling more than 80,000 vehicles due to floor wiring beneath the front passenger seat that can become damaged and prevent airbags and seat belts from deploying properly.
