Hyundai and General Motors (GM) have agreed to look for ways to work together on developing new vehicles, supply chains and technologies in an effort to cut costs and move more quickly.

General Motors and the South Korean automaker say they will collaborate on new vehicles, buying parts and clean energy technologies.

"GM and Hyundai have complementary strengths and talented teams. Our goal is to unlock the scale and creativity of both companies to deliver even more competitive vehicles to customers faster and more efficiently," said GM chair and CEO Mary Barra. Let's hope that GM has learned from the last time it partnered closely with another automaker.
