The NFL Playoffs are finally here. And, we have an absolutely loaded field of head coaches. Five of the fourteen have won a Super Bowl as a head coach, and another three have won a conference championship. A few more have coached in a conference championship game, too. In fact, all but two of the fourteen have a playoff win.

The first day after the end of the NFL season is known as "Black Monday" but the reality is news relating to coaching and front office firings comes throughout the course of the entire week and it comes in bunches.

Allen was the latest victim of the Carolina Reaper. This affectionate nickname has been given to Panthers quarterback Bryce Young. He hasn't had much success early in his professional career, but Young leading improbable wins led to several coaches losing their jobs with Allen being the most recent.

Mayo was fired on Sunday after the team’s win over the Buffalo Bills, ending his tenure after just one season and a 4-13 record. The move means the Patriots will embark on another rebuild as the team tries to build an identity following the Bill Belichick-Tom Brady era.

Those teams that failed to reach the postseason will have to take a hard look at themselves and figure out if the ones leading the organization -- particularly at head coach -- are right for the job.

NFL regular season complete, it's time to move into offseason mode for 18 of the NFL's 32 teams. Realistically, some of them have already done so -- especially those who have made changes at the head coach or general manager positions.

Teams are making huge changes at the end of the 2024 NFL regular season, starting with the New England Patriots
