A Democratic Mississippi state senator introduced legislation this week that makes it unlawful for men to masturbate "without the intent to fertilize an embryo," with the lawmaker criticizing anti-abortion measures that only "focus on the woman’s role.

JACKSON, Miss. ( WLBT /Gray News) - A Mississippi state senator has filed a bill titled the “Contraception Begins at Erection Act.” The bill, written by Democratic Sen. Bradford Blackman, would make it “unlawful for a person to discharge genetic material without the intent to fertilize an embryo.”

The bill would prohibit men from having sex or masturbating unless they intend to fertilize an embryo, with a couple exceptions.
