U.K. Foreign Secretary David Lammy arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday, bringing a new support package for Ukraine a day after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that more than 45,000 of his country’s troops had died in the almost three-year war with Russia.

That’s according to Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, who published on Telegram a photo of him meeting the top diplomat at the railway station in Kyiv.

UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy arrived in Ukraine on February 5. He will announce new aid for Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Valerii Zaluzhnyi, and the UK government.
