With Hurts still in concussion protocol and backup Kenny Pickett nursing a rib injury, the Eagles have added another quarterback as insurance.

The Eagles signed Ian Book to the practice squad Thursday. The team signed him to the active roster Saturday. That will allow Book to serve as the emergency third quarterback in Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
