Josh Hart finished one assist short of a triple-double with 20 points in his return from a two-game absence to rest his sore knee, an issue he’s been dealing with throughout his career and which required extended time off around the All-Star break to calm down.

Josh Hart did not participate in the Knicks’ practice at their Tarrytown facility on Wednesday, as the team continues to monitor his right knee soreness.

Patellofemoral syndrome results from an imbalance in load distribution — either too much or too little — within the knee joint behind the kneecap. Though painful, it’s typically manageable with rest, physical therapy, and supportive wrapping to minimize strain.
