Johnathan Schutz, a New Orleans native and survivor of Hurricane Katrina, recently experienced another tragedy when a fire destroyed his apartment in Killeen.

According to Killeen FD, the fire is now 100% contained, and the community has mobilized through multiple donation drives and support efforts.

Officials say 16 acres of wild land, an apartment complex with 18 units, and 2 commercial buildings were damaged.
