(WJW) – Someone in Ohio could be holding a Mega Millions ticket worth $10,000. The winnings aren’t nearly as noteworthy as the estimated $1.2 billion jackpot won in California just five days ago; nonetheless, extra cash is a nice way to start the new year.

Although nobody won the $20 million jackpot in the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, lottery officials say there were thousands of other winners who hit smaller prizes in Ohio.
