State and local health officials are urging individuals to receive MMR vaccine as Texas reaches 124 cases this week. Here is what we know.

Angela Solis, a pharmacist at Martin's Wellness and Compounding Pharmacies, said measles is the most contagious respiratory illness. She said interest in the MMR vaccine has increased at the pharmacies since the Texas measles outbreak began.

As the measles outbreak in West Texas continues to grow, one Austin-area pharmacy said they are seeing an increase in people inquiring about the MMR vaccine. It comes as state health officials announced the first measles death in the country in over a decade.
