The NBA has fined Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid $75,000 for making an obscene gesture during the first half of his team's 118-114 road win over

Philadelphia center Joel Embiid was fined $75,000 by the NBA on Friday for making obscene gestures during the first half of the the 76ers’ 118-114 road victory over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.

A new foot sprain on top of that is obviously a big concern for Embiid, who is listed at seven feet and 280 pounds. It is to the same leg that cost Embiid most of this season already, and now the 11-17 76ers may have to brace themselves for more time without their seven-time All-Star center.

Embiid has largely been a force when he faces against the Jazz. In 10 games vs. Utah across his career, Embiid has averaged 26.6 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.6 blocks
