News broke on Thursday evening that the Philadelphia Flyers and Calgary Flames were discussing a trade. It seemed to be a routine deal, with the Flyers trading for Andrei Kuzmenko to reunite him with star rookie Matvei Michkov.
Calgary general manager Craig Conroy confirmed that left-wingers Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier and a pair of draft picks were traded to the Philadelphia Flyers for centre Morgan Frost and left-winger Joel Farabee.
Farabee and Morgan Frost (undisclosed) were traded to the Flames from the Flyers on Thursday in exchange for Jakob Pelletier, Andrei Kuzmenko, a 2025 second-round pick and a 2028 seventh-round pick, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
