Considered a determiner for NCAA National Champions, the Wolfe Ranking system designated the Oregon Ducks as the No. 1 team in the nation after Ohio State beat Notre Dame to win the College Football Playoffs.

The Oregon Ducks beat the rival Washington Huskies 82-71 on Tuesday night to improve to 16-3 on the season. Oregons' Nate Bittle, Supreme Cook, TJ Bamba, Jackson Shelstad, and Brandon Angel all scored in double figures.

With National Signing Day on the horizon, here's a look at who Oregon football has already locked in and the needs they've addressed already.

There early projections are largely in line with early betting odds for the 2025 College Football Playoff national champion. Oregon is +700, according to BetMGM, fourth behind Ohio State (+450), Texas (+650) and Georgia (+650). Circa Sports opened the Ducks at +650, third behind Ohio State and Georgia and narrowly ahead of Texas.

Across the country on the West Coast, there might have been some popping of champagne taking place. Why? Because according to the Wolfe Ratings — a mathematical college football ranking designated amongst the National Champion Major Selections by the NCAA — it was the Oregon Ducks who finished the season ranked No. 1 in the nation.
