Previously, SZA promised that updates to her album SOS Deluxe: Lana (known informally as just Lana) would arrive on January 6. Well, that didn’t come to pass, and now SZA is dealing with some fan backlash.
SZA “didn’t sign up” for worldwide fame. The admission comes as the artist prepares for her upcoming film debut, marking a new chapter in her already remarkable career trajectory.
SZA promised fans updates and new songs would be added to her Lana project earlier this month, but nothing has changed yet 11 days later. Fans voiced their frustrations with the Grammy-winning singer on X,
On “ Drew Barrymore ,” SZA confronts her feelings after seeing a man she was dating show up to a party with another woman. “I’m sorry I’m not more attractive/I’m sorry I’m not more ladylike/I’m sorry I don’t shave my legs at night,” SZA sings on the track.
SZA (real name Solana Imani Rowe) admitted that even after over a decade in the spotlight, she still finds being in the public eye "weird."

Keke Palmer and SZA bring back the buddy comedy and it couldn't have been more chaotic or funny. The film also stars Katt Williams and Maude Apatow.
It seems that rumors of SZA and Punch parting ways might not be true. On Thursday, Jan. 16, the SOS singer took to X to fire off some tweets about how TDE president Terrence "Punch" Henderson was "right" about setting boundaries around her artistry.
The two have nine hours to get the rent money in a fast-talking day-in-the-life-of-the-hood comedy that's really a skewed portrait of a community.
