Acura has officially announced the return of the RSX nameplate, marking a new era for the brand as it unveils its first electric vehicle ( EV) built on Honda ’s EV platform. Inspired by the Acura Performance EV Concept, the all-electric Acura RSX presents itself as a sleek, coupe-like silhouette with modern tech.

The first-generation Acura RSX debuted in the US for the 2002 model year as a small liftback sports coupe occupying the bottom of the Acura range. This second-generation RSX continues the model line in name only as it will be a performance crossover EV.

Acura revived two classic nameplates in just the last few years: The Integra and the ZDX. The Integra returned as a sporty hatchback, while the ZDX became the brand's first electric SUV. Now the company is reviving another icon: The RSX.
