Former first lady Michelle Obama won’t attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, though former President Barack Obama will be there, the Obamas' office said in a statement. No reason was given.

Former first lady Michelle Obama will skip the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, the second time in two weeks that she is not attending a gathering of former U.S. leaders and their spouses.

As Barack, 63, Bill, 78, and Hillary, 77, entered the U.S. Capitol rotunda in Washington, D.C., on Monday for the 78-year-old’s historic swearing-in ceremony, people at the Capitol One Arena could be heard loudly booing.

"Former First Lady Michelle Obama is not in attendance at President Carter’s National Funeral Service,” Michelle's rep Crystal Carson added to People. “Mrs. Obama sends her thoughts and prayers to the Carter family, and everyone who loved and learned from the remarkable former president."
