Former Vice President Kamala Harris is setting a timetable to make a major decision about her political future, but will she run in 2026 to succeed California Gov. Gavin Newsom or seek the White House again in 2028?

Politico reported that Harris at a pre-Oscars party was asked by another partygoer when she would make a decision about jumping into the California governor’s race. Two people with knowledge of the conversation said that Harris replied that she’d make the call by the end of this summer.

The former vice president is reportedly weighing multiple options concerning potential future runs for office.
