Microsoft 365 is losing its free VPN feature
Microsoft is getting ready to remove the VPN feature from its Microsoft 365 subscription later this month. Originally designed as a privacy feature, the VPN in Microsoft 365 utilizes the Microsoft Defender app to encrypt internet traffic and hide IP addresses.
Microsoft 365’s VPN feature will be shut off at the end of the month
Microsoft says that no action is required from Windows, macOS, or iOS users of the Microsoft Defender app, but Android users of the VPN feature will need to remove the VPN profile from their devices manually. Microsoft's support page provides instructions for doing this.
