Leaked photos of the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con have some convinced that the new controller will double as a mouse.

Frankly it’s probably the most excited I’ve been for a new console since the release of the Xbox 360 back in 2005.

Last month, a report emerged claiming that Nintendo's upcoming system will in fact be called Switch 2. Apparently the hybrid system will utilize magnetic Joy-Cons as well, which was previously rumored for the console. It's unknown specifically when Nintendo will officially unveil the Switch successor, though it will be before the end of March.

New photos purportedly of the Switch 2 JoyCons leak online, revealing a remarkably similar design to the current Switch controllers.

However, a leak from the Italian website UAGNA offers a more precise date for the release of Nintendo Switch 2's first and third-party accessories. The website claims these devices will go on sale on March 28, 2025. This sounds plausible, as it's unlikely Nintendo would flood the market with accessories without the console being on sale.

Some recently uncovered data suggests that the Switch 2 Joy-Con controllers may ship with a new gimmick that's very Nintendo-like.
