India's SBI Life Insurance Company posted a higher third-quarter profit on Friday, led by growth in renewed and new insurance policies. Its profit rose 71% to 5.51 billion rupees ($63.6 million) for the quarter ended Dec.

SBI Life Insurance on January 17 reported a net profit of Rs 550.82 crore for the October-December quarter (Q3) of the financial year 2025. This marks an increase of nearly 71 percent from the Rs 321.75 crore net profit the company had reported in the corresponding year of the previous financial year 2024.

The company’s net premium income for Q3 FY25 stood at Rs 24,827.5 crore, reporting an increase of 11 per cent from Rs 22,316.4 crore in the corresponding quarter in the year-ago period. Management expenses stood at Rs 2,
