Hallmark is recalling its keepsake Christmas Tree Ornament featuring Cad Bane from Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett after 12 consumers discovered it had mould.

A Christmas ornament sold at Hallmark Gold Crown stores across the country has been recalled because the paint on the ornament can grow mold. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall impacts roughly 11,100 ornaments featuring the character “Cad Bane” from the television series “Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett.”

According to the CPSC, the brown paint on the ornament's exterior did not fully dry prior to packaging. This caused mold to grow on the surface, which poses a risk of respiratory issues to consumers. The firm reported 16 cases of mold found on the tree ornaments upon removal from their packaging. However, no injuries have been reported.
