Matheus Cunha's 14th goal of the season earned Wolverhampton Wanderers a 1-0 Premier League win over 10-man Bournemouth on Saturday, pulling Vitor Pereira's side five points clear of the relegation zone.

The save would prove crucial as a minute later Wolves led. Joao Gomes knocked a short pass back to Semedo who swung over a cross that bamboozled Bournemouth’s defence. Dean Huijsen miscalculated, attempting to clear with his head when his foot might have served, and allowed the ball to reach Cunha in space who swept it high into the net.

Cunha has scored 13 goals in 25 Premier League appearances for Wolves this season, with only Raul Jimenez netting more across a single campaign in the competition for the Wanderers (17 in 2019/20).
