Record 19M Americans to cruise this year, Caribbean is top destination
A record 19 million Americans are expected to embark on one of these giant ships this year, according to AAA’s cruise forecast. That’s up 4.5% from 2024’s 18.2 million. It’s also the third straight year of record cruise passenger volume, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.

The membership organization projected that 19 million Americans will set sail in 2025 in its first-ever cruise industry forecast. That figure is up from 18.2 million last year and 16.9 in 2023. AAA worked with Tourism Economics on the forecast, which is based on ocean cruises.
AAA projects more Americans will take a cruise in 2025
(WIFR) - AAA expects a record 19 million Americans will take an ocean cruise in 2025, according to a new report. The transportation forecasting agency says that figure is up from 18.2 million in 2024 and a 34% increase from a pre-pandemic peak of 14.2 million in 2019.
