TEL AVIV, Israel — The rockets from Gaza have mostly fallen silent. A ceasefire with Hezbollah militants in Lebanon has taken hold. But repeated fire from Yemen’s Houthi rebels, a faraway foe, is proving a stubborn threat for Israel.

Yemen’s Houthi group said Sunday that it targeted a power plant in Haifa in northern Israel amid escalation over Tel Aviv’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. Military spokesman Yahya Saree said a hypersonic ballistic missile was fired at the Orot Rabin power station in southern Haifa.

The latest round of strikes occurred as the United States and its ally Israel struggle to halt a campaign of regional assaults by Yemen’s Houthi militants.

One way might be by intensifying the attacks on their assets, as Israel has already done on several occasions.Another would be to strike Iran, the sponsor of this fanatical Shia terrorist entity. And a third path would be to build a global coalition – including Saudi Arabia and the UAE – to take them on,
